to Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0

In October/November 2008, Caterpillar will move from Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 to Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0, further validating Pro/ENGINEER as their preferred 3D CAD/CAM/CAE tool for all Caterpillar design centers and manufacturing partners.

In minimize disruption to the supply chain and ensure a smooth transition, Caterpillar service providers are encouraged to plan to migrate to Wildfire 4.0 and schedule training in a timely manner.

• Business units, suppliers, and service providers designing or manufacturing components, assemblies, drawings or models in Pro/ENGINEER.
  
  
• Business units, suppliers, and service providers collaboratively sharing Pro/ENGINEER MCAD models and/or drawings.
