Patrick F. Maderia
President

Patrick F. Maderia is the President of TriStar and is responsible for driving TriStar’s PLM business strategy and operations.

Experience
Prior to joining TriStar Mr. Maderia was co-founder and president of First Internet, an Arizona-based company that was acquired by ASI Communications in 1998. Before co-founding First Internet, Mr. Maderia founded Pronex Network’s which he sold in 1996, and prior to that Mr. Maderia developed PrevueLogic™ - a technology used by TriStar today to manage and run the business. A “smart” technology, PrevueLogic allows greater accuracy in forecasting and data analysis. Before entering the Technology business Mr. Maderia flew F-16s in the United States Air Force.

While in the service Mr. Maderia recognized the gap between the technology being used by the government and that which was available to the business world. It was while in the Air Force that Mr. Maderia led the orchestration of automating the supply of parts of the F-16 aircraft from manufacturing through product life, ending with a very thorough and detailed reporting and storage system to enable manufactures such as Pratt & Whitney and McDonald Douglas to continue improvement on future models of the F-16.

Mr. Maderia travels extensively to customer sites educating executives on the many benefits of Product Lifecycle Management.

Education
Mr. Maderia attended the University of Idaho, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He later earned his MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco California.

Kevin R. Abney
Vice President Professional Services

Kevin R. Abney serves as the Vice President of Professional Services for TriStar Inc. Mr. Abney joined TriStar as a Senior Engineer in the Consulting & Education Services group before being promoted to lead that group as Director. Formerly Mr. Abney was with Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), where he held roles of increasing seniority in PLM, PDM, and CAx technical pre-sales. Prior to PTC, Mr. Abney worked in industry, specializing in opto-mechanics.

In his 16-year career, Mr. Abney has developed deep domain expertise in the deployment and usage of product development systems to achieve meaningful business value for discrete manufacturers. Through countless engagements, as a practitioner, project lead, and manager, Mr. Abney has garnered exceptional experience leading solution teams across industries as diverse as aerospace and defense, consumer products, high technology, and life sciences. An ardent champion of the customer, he interlaces value management with sound project management as guiding principles for himself and his team.

At TriStar, Mr. Abney has evolved the services team in concert with the burgeoning PLM market space. With data management at the core, his team has innovated a portfolio of offerings to include change management, configuration management, managed services, process modeling, reporting, security, systems continuity, and virtualization to name a few.

Mr. Abney earned a Master of Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona. He is also a credentialed holder of the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.

Keith Bornstein
Vice President, Western Region

In March of 2009, Keith Bornstein joined TriStar as Western Regional Director, responsible for all Sales in the Western half of the US.

Experience

Prior to joining TriStar, Mr. Bornstein spent 10 years at various PTC partners in Sales Management capacities. Most recently, Mr. Bornstein was one of the founders of a consulting company focused on delivering lean processes.

With a vast history in the market, Mr. Bornstein has an in-depth understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, and how to apply these technologies in order to help achieve your product development initiatives.

Mr. Bornstein, his wife Christine and three kids - Zachary (11), Annie (7) and Luke (4) reside in Portland, OR.

Bill Cunningham
Vice President Sales Operations

Bill Cunningham has been with TriStar since 2004. During his tenure he has been responsible for computer hardware sales, the inside sales teams, and presently sales operations as TriStar’s Vice President of Sales Operations.

Prior to TriStar, Mr. Cunningham spent over 20 years in key sales and management roles for technical companies which supplied a variety of products and services to a wide spectrum of the supply chain. He has worked directly for manufacturers, wholesale distributors, business direct, and retail companies in roles that included sales, sales management, marketing and business operations/management focused on growing businesses through sales and process improvement.

Mr. Cunningham has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. He currently lives in Scottsdale, AZ, has a grown son, and is an avid cyclist.

Paul Erickson
Vice President North American Services

Paul Erickson serves as Vice President of North American Services. In this role, Mr. Erickson is responsible for the leadership of TriStar North America’s consulting, education, and managed services lines of business. Each of these core businesses are paramount to ensuring TriStar’s customers receive the highest levels of implementation success and continued world-class support from TriStar.

Since joining TriStar in 2002, Mr. Erickson has served in various sales and sales management positions throughout North America and assumed leadership of the services organization in January of 2010. Prior to TriStar, Mr. Erickson was an account manager with PTC.

Mr. Erickson attended Bates College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Dwight Griffith
Vice President, Eastern Region

Dwight Griffith is a Vice President at TriStar. In his role, he is responsible for driving sales of TriStar products and services through direct and agent channels.

Mr. Griffith has more than 19 years of experience in the software industry. His most recent positions at PTC were vice president of global Pro/ENGINEER sales and prior to that he was vice president of NA sales for Mathcad. Prior to that Dwight was vice president of worldwide sales for a ‘governance and compliance’ company called OpenPages. While at OpenPages Dwight helped grow the company from $4.1M in sales to over $31.7M (within a 2 year time period). Prior to OpenPages, Mr. Griffith worked at PTC from 1991 through June of 2004 in a variety of different roles from a direct sales rep, channel manager, regional director, area vice president and vice president of Asia Pacific channels. Through his tenure at PTC, Dwight has focused most of his career on growing the business around the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) market. Mr. Griffith started his career (right after college) at Deluxe Corporation (NASDAQ: DLX) selling checks and ATM cards to financial institutions.

Mr. Griffith has an undergraduate degree in economics from Hobart College in New York. He currently lives outside of Boston, MA with his wife and three children.
